Textile Art

I work with needle, thread and textile because I feel it - with my hands and heart.  It is the medium learned at the side of my mother and grandmother for creations both utilitarian and artistic, so I feel embraced and at ease when I work with textiles. Line and colour are key to my work as I express and interpret moments in time, experiences and places, and explore contrasts like order and chaos, freedom and constraint. When creating, I plan, then give way to spontaneity in a celebration of intuition.
